This time of year, Halloween decorations are everywhere I go and that makes me excited. Lawson released a cake which is a monster flying in the night sky.
I can’t help trying out seasonal sweets.
The outside is coated with white chocolate cream. Inside is a chocolate sponge cake, milk chocolate mousse and Gianduja bits. Gianduja is a type of chocolate that originated in Italy. It contains a nut paste made from toasted, crushed nuts (mainly hazelnut and sometimes almond).
The package was printed for Halloween. You can’t miss the orange sticker.
Look at the monster, he’s somewhat charming.
The face was made of chocolate as well. This was death by chocolate.
The sheet for the dessert was even Halloween-ish.
The inside was a thick layer. It actually looks like an expensive dessert!
The white chocolate cream was milky and sweet. Very good!
The chocolate mousse was light in texture and quite bitter. The sponge base was very moist.
There weren’t many Gianduja bits, but they certainly added a good crunchy texture.
Overall it’s on the bitter side of desserts and that’s why the white chocolate cream enhanced the total performance of this dessert. I loved it!
Again, it is death by chocolate. You will enjoy the look and the taste.
