In Japan Halloween is becoming popular, you will see a big selection of limited Halloween products everywhere!
Today I’d like to introduce you to a cake which is widely talked about on social media. It’s a plain looking cake 11cm × 6cm. So what’s so special about this cake?
It’s that you can decorate it yourself with the face of monster before eating it with the chocolate sauce in the squeeze bottle!
Right away I took the squeeze bottle out of the cake and drew face and hands.
The consistency of the chocolate sauce was just right and it offered good drawing control.
Yes! I completed my one of a kind cake. I think it would be fun to get together with friends and show each other your original cakes.
Now I feel bad to eat it, let’s dig in!
The cake consisted of 3 layers. Under the cream was a very rich pumpkin mousse. On the bottom layer was a thin sponge cake. In the mousse I found diced pumpkin with the skin on. The pumpkin cream on the side was rich in pumpkin flavour. When I ate it all together, the flavours had a beautiful harmony. The chocolate sauce was slightly bitter and added a little something to the cake.
It wasn’t overly sweet and it was mild and creamy.
I enjoyed the taste and the “decorate it yourself” aspect left a lasting impression.
I would definitely recommend this cake during this season.
