I always love the combination of Matcha and red bean paste! And when that combination comes in a pie puff, it’s gonna be good!
Look at this puff pastry baked to perfection!
It’s square in shape and quite big!
Inside, it was pretty much a 1:1 ratio of Matcha whipped cream and chunky red bean paste!
Uji Matcha from Kyoto Tsujiri Honten was used in the whipped cream. Uji Matcha is a high quality Matcha from the Uji area of Kyoto. The red beans were the special Yume Murasaki kind from Hokkaido. Only the best ingredients were carefully selected for this dessert. Thank you Lawson !
The pie puff was not crusty and heavy, rather it was quite light and flaky. The Matcha whipped cream wasn’t too sweet. I enjoyed the aroma and bitterness of the Matcha. Tsujiri Uji Matcha does such a good job!
The red bean paste was very tasty as well, when eaten with the Matcha it creates the perfect harmony of sweetness!
If you love Matcha or red bean paste, you have got to eat this!
This is very popular right now. I had to go to 3 Lawsons before I found this. If you find it, you are fortunate. Grab it right away!
