This Japanese style parfait comes in a round cup about 9cm x 4.5cm in size.
It contains a lot of traditional Japanese style toppings such as Matcha whipped cream, red bean paste, Mochi, a Shiratama sticky rice ball, and diced chest nuts.
And beneath all of those treats green Matcha agar agar jelly and a milk mousse layer.

When I tasted this dessert I thought that the Matcha whipped cream wasn’t too strong but the after taste was undeniably Matcha. The Matcha agar agar was bitter sweet.
When I ate the jelly and whipped cream together there was a beautiful harmony.
I added some of the milk mousse layer in my mouth as well, it was awesome. A well calculated balance.
Hokkaido red beans were used for the paste. This parfait wasn’t overly sweet. I would say it was a perfect match.

Many textures are present in this dessert. The Shiratama sticky rice balls, the stickiness of the Mochi, the agar agar’s firmness, and the chestnut’s texture which was similar to a baked potato.
This dessert allows you to enjoy a variety of flavors and textures. I highly recommended it for Matcha lovers and lovers of Japanese sweets.

※ This Matcha Anmitsu parfait is available all over Japan except in Hokkaido, Miyazaki, Kagoshima and Okinawa prefecture!
