A Must-Visit Place for Cheese Lovers! This Shop Where You Can Enjoy Cheese, Sweets, and Yakiniku in Osaka’s Chayamachi Is Now Open!
I visited the Chayamachi location of CHEESE CRAFT WORKS, a cheese specialty shop, on April 13th, 2017.
Apparently cheese is used in every menu item that they offer!
Additionally, WAGYUdoki by CHEESE CRAFT WORKS, where you can enjoy both cheese and yakiniku, is open in the restaurant space at the same time!
The shop is located just one minute on foot from Umeda Station’s Chayamachi Exit!
This Yellow Sign is the Restaurant’s Landmark.
Wine Bottles Lined Up Inside
The restaurant has a relaxing atmosphere, with large sofas lined up as seats.
Racks of wine bottles serve as partitions between neighboring seats.
Meal Menu at CHEESE CRAFT WORKS
Angel’s Fluffy Cheese Fondue (1680 yen)
This dish is a four-cheese blend (gruyere, Emmental, fromage blanc, cheddar) cheese sauce, into which you dip garnishes.
You can choose from three garnish dishes: standard plate, vegetable plate, and meat plate.
Brown Butter and Soy Sauce Grilled Romaine Lettuce, with Parmigiano-Reggiano and Pecorino (680 yen)
The mix of flavors from fragrant brown butter soy sauce and two rich cheeses is spectacular!
Luxury Caesar Salad, Tossed in a Parmesan Cheese Bowl (1280 yen)
An enormous wheel of parmesan cheese is cut in front of you, and your salad is tossed with cheese inside of the parmesan “bowl.”
This is an exciting-to-order dish that is prepared in front of you each time it is ordered.
5 Varieties of House-Made Fresh Cheeses (1080 yen)
This cheese plate comes with 5 varieties of cheese (fromage blanc, ricotta, cottage cheese, mascarpone, and mozzarella), along with olive oil, honey, and salt.
As they are made in-house, this selection of cheese is incredibly fresh. They are also great for enjoying with wine!
CHEESE CRAFT WORKS’ Sweets
Brie de Meaux Cheese Tart (490 yen)
This mature cheese tart has the mellow aroma of brie de meaux, with a full cheesy fragrance and salty taste.
Strawberry and Apricot Mascarpone Cream Cafe (980 yen)
This dish deliciously combines the milky sweetness of mascarpone with the refreshing flavor of fresh strawberries.
Fromage Blanc Soft-Serve with Olive Oil Drizzle (630 yen)
This exquisite blend of refreshing fromage blanc with rich olive oil is even more delicious than you would imagine. This is an excellent way to enjoy a mix of flavors you have never experienced before.
No-Bake Cheesecake (390 yen)
The sweetness of the rich cheese lingers deliciously.
Amaou Strawberry and Crème Brule Dolce Pizza (1000 yen)
The pairing of refreshing and very sweet Amaou strawberries with the rich sweetness of burnt caramel is absolutely exquisite.
Loaded Strawberry and Cream Cheese Dolce Pizza (1000 yen)
This dish piles cream cheese on top of plenty of strawberries.
The refreshing strawberries are very sweet, and each bite leaves a pleasantly light aftertaste.
How nice these are!
WAGYUdoki by CHEESE CRAFT WORKS
The back of the store is home to WAGYUdoki, where you can enjoy both cheese and yakiniku.
The seats here are primarily sofa seats, so you can relax while you enjoy cheese and yakiniku.
Kuroge Wagyu 4-Variety Selection (1980 yen)
This Kuroge Wagyu plate comes with 4 different cuts to enjoy: rib, short-rib, a scarce meat, and thick-sliced beef tongue.
The meat comes with tare dipping sauce as well, but it is recommended that you simply enjoy the meat with just salt.
There is also an all-you-can-eat menu available. (From 2980 yen)
Both restaurants feature cheese-centric menus, so they both are must-visit restaurants for cheese lovers!
