This pudding is characterized by it’s combination of Kinako and Molasses.
A combination I love so I know this is going to be good.

It was whiter than most puddings.

And unusually un-bouncy, but quite creamy.

Wow! How yummy! Kinako is a roasted soy bean powder. In this pudding, soybeans from the Kyoto region were used. That’s why the name of this dessert contains the word “ Kyo-Kinako”. The flavor of Kinako is not overpowering and I was left with a mild roasted flavor as an aftertaste. The molasses sauce was neither too sweet nor too strong. It was a good partner for the dessert.

This is how it looks when plated.
Such a mild and creamy pudding.
If you have some Kinako at home, sprinkle some on top and enjoy your own arrangement!
