Kachimai Fireworks Festival (August 13, 2017)

Held about 400 meters downstream from Tokachi Bridge across the Tokachi River in Hokkaido’s Obihiro, Kachimai Fireworks Festival is a great show featuring wonderful music, lighting and fireworks! The festival culminates in an extremely impressive performance called “grand finale”, when the night sky is crowned with thousands of glorious flames and sparks soaring into the air simultaneously!

Zenibako Sunset Beach Festival Fireworks Display (August 5, 2017)

The 2017 Otaru Sunset Beach Festival is held on the beautiful Zenibako Sunset Beach in Otaru, Hokkaido. During the festival, you can watch fireworks and can also take part in karaoke singing, see bon (Obon) dance performance and enjoy a concert on the beach. The festival takes place between 15:00 and 24:00. You may come earlier to spend a whole romantic day on the beach!

Doshin Fireworks Festival (August 1, 2017)

As a prelude to the Hakodate Port Festival commemorating the 158th anniversary of Hakodate Port’s being opened to foreign trade, the 62th Doshin (abbreviation for the “Hokkaido Shimbun”) Fireworks Festival will be held on August 1, 2017. You can watch such shows as rapid-fire fireworks and fireworks from sea surface. The rockets launched from the Green Island (Midori No Shima) light up the whole port in the darkness. You may enjoy the wonderful view of Hakodate Port as well. And Mount Hakodate, which overlooks the night scene of Hakodate illuminated by flames and sparks, is another spot recommended to you.
