Enjoy Oysters and Sake at Ueno Park During This Great-Value Event! “Setouchi Gourmet Fest”

Setouchi is the general name for the coastal region where Honshu, Shikoku, and Kyushu surround the Seto Inland Sea (including coasts of Hyogo, Okayama, Hiroshima, Yamaguchi, Tokushima, Kagawa, and Ehime Prefectures).

If you follow the event’s official social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram), you can enjoy samples of dishes for absolutely free! All you need to do is show your phone’s screen on the day of the event with proof that you followed.

There will be a variety of other Setouchi specialty dishes available at the festival, including Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki, as well as “kawara soba,” a dish from Yamaguchi Prefecture where cha-soba are cooked on piping hot kawara (a type of Japanese roof tile), then dipped in a special sweet sauce.
