A Chinese Lunch at “Zenshutoku,” a Ginza Restaurant Famous for its Peking Duck

Last update :

“Zenshutoku” is a Chinese restaurant that serves up authentic Peking duck. Their Peking duck is carefully prepared in the same process, made up of over 50 steps, as that at the famous restaurant “Quanjude.” Zenshutoku’s Ginza location closed over 3 years ago due to a fire, but it was finally able to reopen in November of 2018. I decided to stop by for lunch right away.

The restaurant is located on the building’s 5th floor

The entrance to the restaurant is on the left when you go up to the 5th floor by elevator.
There were flowers decorating the hallway in celebration of the reopening.

The restaurant’s interior is decorated with brick, stone carvings, and wooden frames, giving it a luxurious antique-like look.
This time I was seated in a private room, separated from the rest of the areas by thresholds.

Menu

There are several options on the lunch menu, including deals on a lunch starting at 1,500 yen, as well as more luxurious options.

The Peking duck was served wrapped up. The rolls were packed full in this lightly seasoned and healthy dish.

Chashao mian (ramen topped with chashu)

This dish was served in a rather small bowl, making it the perfect size.

The menu composition seems like it would appeal to most people, and you also get great value out of the meal for the price!
The restaurant is divided into several private rooms, so it’s a great place for entertaining or taking out your significant other.

In addition to running an IT consulting firm, I spend my lunch hours scouring the nearby Ginza area for the best places to eat.
