Located about 2 km away from the city center of Aira City, Kajiki Town, this park sits on a hill 155 meters high, featuring an observation deck that offers panoramic views of the city and Kinko Bay beyond. It's recognized as a scenic spot where Sakurajima, a symbol of Kagoshima, can be seen in a unique triangular shape that gives a sleek impression, differing from the commonly imagined trapezoidal form.

Popular as a cherry blossom viewing spot attracting many visitors from outside the prefecture, about 300 cherry trees bloom here. The view of the full bloom against the backdrop of the landscape below is truly magnificent. It is also famous as a nighttime view spot, and the cherry blossoms lit up during the blooming season create a dramatically beautiful scene against the night cityscape.

Spanning an area of 6.5 hectares, the park also features a large playground centered around slides. The playground, inspired by the "Kumahai Carrot," a local high-sugar content carrot cultivated in the surrounding fields, has a unique appearance and is sometimes referred to as "Carrot Park."
