The decor has a bit of an industrial vibe mixed with Japanese elements—very stylish. The soundproofing is pretty good too, so you don't really hear much noise at night.

The main hall is grand and majestic, with a strong traditional Japanese temple vibe. It's always busy with worshippers, even on weekdays.

Taking the bus is definitely the most convenient way to get around Kyoto city.

This area has seen better days, but prices are pretty cheap now. There are still some good restaurants around.

You can visit this spot for free with the Osaka Amazing Pass. Inside, they've recreated what Osaka looked like during the Edo period. You can even dress up in a kimono and take some memorable photos!
