“Chibi Maruko-chan” is a manga by author Momoko Sakura. Its anime adaptation began airing in 1990, and it is still widely beloved to this day. Set in Shimizu City of Shizuoka Prefecture, it is a fun, heartwarming story that follows the daily life of third grader Chibi Maruko-chan.
Chibi Maruko-chan Land is a museum that reproduces the world of Chibi Maruko-chan!

From all the rooms of the Sakura family home and Maruko’s school classroom and secret base, to a shopping center and spot-the-difference corner, there are many things to see! You can enjoy feeling like you’ve entered the world of Chibi Maruko-chan. In addition, there are scheduled events on certain dates, including commemorative photographs and rock-paper-scissors events. Maruko herself might even make an appearance, both on event-scheduled days and those without!
Chibi Maruko-chan Land also features a recreation of the candy store “Mitsuya” from the series, where guests can purchase candy and treats!
Fun for children and nostalgic for adults, the shop is full of candies and toys!
