Gifu Castle, where Oda Nobunaga planned to rule the country, the historical cormorant fishing on Nagara River, and Kawaramachi neighborhood - there are so many historical and traditional spots you can tour in Gifu City.

Gifujo Kippu sold by Nagoya Railway (Meitetsu) is a special discount ticket that lets you go around these interesting towns in Gifu economically.

You can buy it at any Meitetsu station. It includes a round trip Meitetsu ticket between your starting station and Meitetsu Gifu Station, a day ticket for Gifu Bus’ assigned area, Mt. Kinka Ropeway round trip, and Gifu Castle admission.

Gifu Bus’ assigned area is between JR Gifu and Gifu Grand Hotel. For example, you can ride the bus and ropeway to get to the top of Mt. Kinka to see Gifu Castle and Gifu Mt. Kinka Squirrel Village, go down to Gifu Park and Gifu Daibutsu (Buddha statue) at the foot of the mountain, then, get on the bus to Kawaramachi Neighborhood or even to Nagara River Cormorant Museum.

The train, buses, ropeway and Gifu Castle admission are packaged in Gifujo Kippu. Utilize the special ticket to get the most out of Gifu Castle and the surrounding area.
