Mt. Tsukuba Hotel Aokiya

A hot spring ryokan with exceptional views, from its panoramic rooftop open-air bath to the lobby lounge.

Supervised by :  Mt. Tsukuba Hotel Aokiya

A hot spring ryokan located halfway up Mt. Tsukuba (elevation 877 m). A cable car station is nearby, making it easy to enjoy the views from the Tsukuba Sancho Station Observation Deck.

Thanks to its location, the views from the ryokan are outstanding. Step through the entrance and into the lobby lounge, and the Kanto Plain opens up right in front of you. From the rooftop open-air bath, take in the rural Kanto Plain below during the day, then enjoy a 180-degree panoramic view of a star-filled sky at night. Even from the indoor large public bath, you can see the night view of the Tsukuba Science City area.

Mt. Tsukuba is also famous as a hot spring area, and this inn also has hot spring water. The alkaline simple hot spring water quality seems to be expected to help with beautiful skin and fatigue recovery.

Rooms include special rooms with an open-air bath and sweeping views of the Kanto Plain, as well as standard Japanese-style rooms. For standard rooms, you can choose a Mt. Tsukuba-side view or a night-view side. In a calm space, you can slowly enjoy the changing scenery and passing time.

Meals feature seasonal Japanese kaiseki cuisine with thoughtful touches. Dining is served either in a private room where you can relax, or in a Japanese dining room where dishes are brought to your table.
