A long-established ryokan in Awara Onsen, Fukui Prefecture, founded in 1883 with Approx. 70 years of history. It offers a wide range of room types, including luxurious options like the 13-suite lineup “Jusan no Kaze” and “RO-AN,” limited to just two rooms for a private, hideaway-like feel, as well as Japanese-style rooms such as “Honjin,” “Gyoen,” and “Kyakuden,” where you can fully enjoy a traditional Japanese atmosphere.

The biggest highlight is its garden open-air baths—among the largest in Hokuriku—filled with water from four on-site private hot spring sources. You’ll find unique options like a hinoki cypress bath where you can soak while admiring the flowers, and a bath with a ceramic tub. With the open-air setting, it should leave both body and mind feeling refreshed. They also offer a “day-use bathing” plan, making it easy to stop by during sightseeing.

For a key part of the stay, dinner is a theater-style buffet where you can enjoy freshly made dishes from an open kitchen. Right in front of you, local Fukui ingredients and seafood—such as Wakasa beef and Arashima pork—are cooked and served hot. There are plenty of desserts as well. They also offer kaiseki course meals where you can savor Japanese cuisine.

There are also karaoke rooms on site. Eat, sing, unwind in the hot springs, and enjoy an unforgettable time.
