Supervised by :  Manriki Park

This Approx. 14-hectare urban park stretches along the Fuefuki River, which runs through central Yamanashi City. Approx. 110+ plant species celebrated in the Manyoshu, including pines, plum trees, violets, and red spider lilies, greet visitors with delicate seasonal blooms. Manyoshu poem monuments are set beside the flowers, creating opportunities to encounter the world of the Manyoshu.

At the center of the park, the free-admission “Fureai Animal Plaza” lets you meet 21 kinds of adorable animals such as capybaras, raccoons, and maras. With a scale that feels like a real zoo, there’s plenty to see. South of the fountain plaza, you can also find birds with beautiful feathers, including flamingos and peacocks.

The park also features the “Picnic Plaza,” where you can enjoy a barbecue, the tree-lined “Children’s Plaza” with plenty of multi-play equipment, and a “Roller Skate Rink” with a course that’s roughly 100 meters per lap—making it a popular spot on weekends.
