The most popular island is Miyakojima, followed by Irabujima, the second-largest. Connecting these two islands is Irabu Ohashi Bridge.

At 3,540 m long, it’s the longest toll-free bridge in Japan. Drive across, and the emerald-green sea stretching out on both sides fills your view. You’ll feel as if you’re traveling right over the water. At sunrise and at dusk, you’ll be mesmerized by the contrast between the sky’s changing colors and the shimmering sea reflecting the sun. This breathtaking scenery created by nature is sure to stay with you long after your trip.

You can also cross on foot or by bicycle. On foot, it takes around 1 hour. However, there’s no dedicated pedestrian path, so be sure to watch for cars as you go.
