Noboribetsu Grand Hotel
A hot spring inn in Noboribetsu where you can enjoy blissful moments in a garden-view open-air bath that reflects the seasons, as well as a high-temperature sauna.
Founded in 1938 and affectionately known as the “Guesthouse of Noboribetsu Onsen,” this long-standing hotel offers a refined hot spring experience in one of Hokkaido’s most famous onsen towns.
The hotel features two large Roman-style baths, each with a dome-shaped ceiling and four tubs of various sizes. Guests can enjoy three types of natural hot springs: sulfur, saline, and iron-rich waters. In 2022, the outdoor garden bath was renovated, allowing guests to soak while taking in the changing seasons and the soothing sounds of a cascading waterfall.
One of the newest highlights is the “Oni Sauna,” themed after Noboribetsu’s iconic demons (oni) and designed under the supervision of a renowned sauna expert. Using an auto-löyly system, it reaches a blistering 110°C, offering a next-level “totonou” (sauna bliss) experience.
The hotel provides a range of room types, including a luxurious executive floor for a more exclusive stay, Western-style comfort twin rooms, and traditional Japanese rooms with tatami and calming interiors.
Dinner is served buffet-style, with chefs preparing seasonal Hokkaido ingredients right before your eyes in a wide selection of Japanese, Western, and Chinese dishes.
In July 2024, the new Café Yukara opened on the first floor—perfect for unwinding with a cup of coffee while waiting for your bus, as the hotel is conveniently located near the bus terminal.
