After getting tired from walking around Shinjuku, it was perfect to come up here to take a break and enjoy the view. For first-time visitors to Tokyo, it’s a nice beginner-friendly spot.

The park covers a huge area and is full of natural scenery—perfect for anyone who loves mountain and forest views. The fall foliage here is especially famous, and the colors across the entire forest are seriously spectacular.

Great Japanese restaurants, plus a 24-hour supermarket with lots of premium ingredients.

You can really feel Tadao Ando's architectural style here. The building is made from a million scallop shells, all pieced together by hand. It's a great example of harmony between the natural environment and living spaces.

Whenever work wasn't going well during my time in Japan, I would visit Heikenji Temple to pray for good luck. I think that's why Kawasaki Daishi is always so busy with worshippers—it really feels like it works.
