  • The Old Public Hall of Hakodate Ward is a place with both historical value and architectural beauty. I was really impressed by how well the building has been preserved and its historical significance.

If you come to Dazaifu, you have to try the famous Umegae-mochi! The chewy outer layer with sweet red bean filling is so good. The handmade grilled rice crackers are also delicious.

The gorgeous Yomeimon Gate features carvings commonly seen in Chinese temples, like qilin, dragons, and the Seven Sages of the Bamboo Grove. It's a showcase of Japanese craftsmanship.
