  • There are lots of restaurants and snack shops along the old street, offering all kinds of tasty food. The Hida beef is especially tender and flavorful—definitely a must-try!

  • There are so many classic and new attractions in the park, perfect for visitors of all ages. Every ride is thoughtfully designed and really immersive.

  • The outside of the bathhouse is covered in colorful tiles. I heard it's the work of a famous Japanese artist. I didn't have time to take a bath this time, but I hope I can come back and try it next time.

  • I took the ropeway up to the observation deck, and the view was super open—you can see the whole Seto Inland Sea clearly. If you visit in the fall during the autumn leaves season, it would be absolutely perfect.

  • Tadao Ando's concrete architecture is a massive work of art in itself. The way he uses light, shadow, and geometric shapes is truly masterful.

  • Ritsurin Garden is divided into the South and North gardens, and no matter where you go, there's beautiful scenery everywhere. The refined sense of beauty here really helps you relax, both body and mind.

  • Every piece here is carefully crafted by the artists. You really can't feel the impact of the Sand Museum unless you visit in person.

  • In Japan, places with geothermal hot springs are often called 'hell valleys.' Unzen Jigoku is pretty big, and the strong smell of sulfur fills the whole area. Local shops even cook raw eggs in pots using the hot spring water and sell them as onsen eggs.

  • This is a very popular shrine in Kagoshima, and a lot of visitors come here because of its reputation.
