The autumn scenery here is so pleasant. Being up in the mountains really makes you feel far away from the everyday world.

You can spend a relaxing afternoon strolling around the shrine, Maruyama Zoo, and Maruyama Park nearby.

I arrived a bit late, so all the souvenir shops nearby were already closed. In the evening, there were a bunch of crows in the sky, which looked a little scary.
