PROFILE

I am from Fujisawa City, Kanagawa Prefecture. Born and raised by the sea, I like to spend time on the weekends enjoying outdoor activities like beach soccer and camping. I’ve been backpacking since I was in school, and I have visited 30 countries across 5 continents. The most fun trip I’ve been on lately was renting a mobile camper and travelling across America. I also backpack across Japan!

Where in Japan I recommend the most and why to travelers in Japan.
Hokkaido. There’s delicious food all over (seafood, meat, vegetables... everything is delicious). I especially recommend visiting Doto. It has different sorts of charms than the rest of Japan, like the Kushiro Marshlands and the Abashiri drift ice.
Favorite memory from traveling in Japan.
Seeing the “Miroku Bosatsu” statue at Koryu-ji in Kyoto. It was one of the nation’s first designated national treasures, and I was drawn in by the statue’s limber body and archaic smile.
Must do activity for visitors to Japan.
Try comparing different types of Japanese sake! In particular, sake from Niigata, a rice-producing region, is exceptional.
