In Itoshima, Fukuoka? Check out SUN SET beach café!

Itoshima City, Fukuoka City's neighbour to the west, has shown a recent increase in popularity among both immigrants and tourists. Why? Because of its beautiful skies and beautiful sea, of course! The abundance of nature makes the city the perfect place for growing things, too. The Itoshima brand is known not only for its high quality produce, but its delicious meat, fish, and eggs as well.

Itoshima is also a great place to get your shop on! It’s home to countless unique shops and stylish cafés: SUN SET is a great example of such!

I headed to SUN SET for lunch and was instantly impressed with its stunning ocean view.

If you like sweet coffee, you’ll love the Coffee Milkshake, which is made with fresh milk. The menu features a wide variety of other beverages, too, such as coffee, tea, alcoholic drinks, and drinks made with seasonal Itoshima fruit.

Taco Rice (1,190 yen)
Taco rice is a Mexican taco-inspired dish which features all of your favourite taco ingredients—but on rice. Fresh local vegetables, minced meat, spicy salsa, cheese, and more! This dish is fresh, nutritionally balanced, and even has bite!

Ladies Loco moco (950 yen).
A one plate meal featuring an arrangement of hamburger made with a mixture of domestic beef and Itoshima pork, refreshing avocado, and a myriad of other Itoshima brand ingredients. This loco moco is the perfect dish to enjoy by the beach. The photo above shows it with a moderate serving of rice, but a regular amount is available as well.

This shop uses Itoshima’s famously fresh Tenjyo Ran, or Celestial Eggs.

Itoshima Pork Herb Sauté (840 yen).
Sweet, soft, and juicy fatty pork. The dish is especially popular among women for its high levels of beauty-enhancing collagen vitamin B-complex.

Pineapple Tart (450 yen).
So cute, it almost seemed a waste to eat it! But don’t worry, after admiring it a short while I eventually indulged.

The view was spectacular! When the weather is nice, I definitely recommend a seat on the patio. There’s just something magical about relaxing with the sea breeze blowing in your face and the sound of the waves in the background.
