Last update :

A public relations facility adjacent to the Hamamatsu Air Self-Defense Force Base. This is a popular spot for children and adults alike, as you can see real Air Self-Defense Force planes and fighter jets up close.

The first floor displays the Air Self-Defense Force's troop structure, mission, etc. and the jet fighter engine’s cross section model. You can look inside the cockpit as well. The second floor features aircraft and missile models and uniforms. On the third floor, see the VIP room in the government airplane that was actually used and the simplified simulator.

The most popular of these is the “full dome theater”, a dome-shaped theater that shows panoramic scenes of fighter jets flying. The powerful view at an altitude of 20,000 feet is breathtaking.

The main attraction is the display hangar, where you can see the Air Self-Defense Force's past fighter planes, Blue Impulse planes, and rescue helicopters. You can even get into the cockpit and feel like a pilot. There is also a "Blue Impulse Corner" with photo panels showing the Blue Impulse of the past, where you can simulate a flight from the perspective of a pilot using VR goggles.

The outdoor rest area has playground equipment for small children, making it a great spot for families. It is also a great spot for taking pictures, as you can see the aircraft flying from Hamamatsu Air Base up close. Be sure to visit this popular facility where you can see valuable Air Self-Defense Force materials that you can't normally see.
