Einoo Tsurugi Shrine

It was founded in the 6th year of Wado (713). A shrine that enshrines Watatsumi no Kami and faces the Yashiro Sea. Derived from the tail of the ray, the name of the land became "Eino", and since the tail of the ray has the shape of a sword, it has come to be known as "Tsurugi Shrine".

There is a mysterious torii that stands in the sea when the tide is high, and you can walk to the torii at low tide. It is also known for dedicating a rare ema (votive horse tablet) of a ray. It is said to be beneficial for gastrointestinal diseases and is visited by worshipers from all over the world.

Shiranui is a mirage phenomenon that appears in the Yashiro Sea (Shiranui Sea) at low tide on August 1st of the lunar calendar. Hassaku Festival is held in accordance with its appearance.Every year, many people who are fascinated by the romance of Shiranui come to see the scene at a glance. It is a valuable thing that cannot be seen unless the conditions are met because it is a phenomenon that occurs under specific terrain and weather conditions. In recent years, it has become a rare phenomenon because the sky has become brighter due to reclamation and electric lights.
