Just a 3-minute walk from JR Fukushima Station, you’ll find a handy local products shop that’s easy to drop into. High-quality signature items and local specialties nurtured by Fukushima Prefecture are all gathered in one place. The floor is divided into four areas: “Sake,” “Local Specialties,” “Crafts,” and “Lounge.”

In the “Sake” area, you’ll find Approx. 900 types of Japanese sake from 54 breweries across the prefecture. Including liqueurs, wine, craft beer, and whiskey, the selection totals 1,100 varieties—a lineup the shop is proud of. In the “Local Specialties” area, packed with carefully chosen flavors unique to Fukushima Prefecture, local sweets shops set up for limited periods, making it popular with locals as well. The “Crafts” area displays and sells craftwork that represents Fukushima Prefecture. The especially popular papier-mâché “Akabeko” and related goods are a standout.

At the dining area, the Fukushima Lounge, you can enjoy tasting and comparing local sake. It’s a nice touch that you can try before you buy, then decide what to take home. Let the knowledgeable staff know what you like, and they’ll point you to recommendations from the wide selection.
