Located just a 15-minute drive from Naha Airport toward Itoman City, Chura SUN Beach at Toyosaki Seaside Park is the closest beach to the airport. It’s a popular spot for watching airplanes take off and land, as well as for enjoying breathtaking sunsets over the horizon.
Stretching 700 meters, this is one of the largest artificial beaches in Okinawa, framed by a scenic row of palm trees. The beach is divided into two main areas: a designated swimming zone equipped with safety nets to protect against box jellyfish and lifeguards on duty, making it a safe and relaxing spot for families with small children. The other area offers a variety of marine sports, including banana boat rides, sea kayaking, and snorkeling.
In the afternoon, when the tide is low, the beach becomes a hub for athletic fun. Kids and adults alike can enjoy floating air playgrounds at Chura Water Park, or bounce freely across a stretchable net in the Chura Net Park right by the sea. Additional on-site facilities include courts for beach volleyball and basketball, as well as BBQ areas where you can grill with a view of the ocean.
