  • The snowy scenery here is even more magical—it's just like a romantic scene straight out of a Japanese drama.

    The Kanda Festival, Tokyo's biggest festival, only happens every two years. People pray for good fortune, health, and luck. As a Tokyoite, being a child of Edo, the Kanda Festival in May is definitely something to look forward to.

  • I visited Beppu Onsen for a vacation many years ago and stayed at Suginoi Hotel. The open-air bath on the rooftop had an amazing atmosphere, plus you could see Beppu Bay. It was an unforgettable trip for me. I hope I can visit again once the pandemic is over.

    Since it's a pretty rural area, there hasn't been any major development or industrial pollution. The scenery remains pristine and simple. It's an incredibly clean and beautiful river.

  • Watching all the fish swimming freely in the big aquarium was so soothing. It really lifted my mood.
