My daughter specifically asked me to buy this and bring it back home! 😆

It felt like a money grab. Each person spent about 4,000 to 5,000 yen, and they closed at 4 p.m., so we missed out on seeing a lot of things.

  • Took a sightseeing boat tour of the Blue Cave. The ocean was a beautiful blue, changing with the sunlight. You’ll see some really unique rock formations along the way. The whole trip takes about 80 minutes. Definitely wear the warm coat they provide—it gets seriously cold out there.

  • These days, most of the visitors here seem to be tourists from Southeast Asia.

  • Visited again after the pandemic and found lots of unique street food and souvenirs. The yen is really cheap now, so shopping was extra fun! 😃

  • We made a special trip to Disneyland on a weekday. Got to enjoy lots of rides and saw both the day and night parades. It was an amazing experience.

  • Because of a major flood during the Meiji era, the shrine was moved to its current higher location. The mountain views here are especially nice.

  • This place has a retro Showa-era vibe, with both a zoo and an amusement park. It's a great spot for a family outing.

  • This is the site where the Taisei Hokan took place. The grounds are huge, with over 400 years of history. There's also a beautiful garden you can visit.

  • The Hojo Garden here is the most popular spot. Sitting quietly and admiring the rock garden really helps you feel calm and refreshed.

  • One of Japan's top three hot springs! After soaking here, your skin feels so smooth. It's even called 'the beauty bath.'
