  • There are several trails in the gorge, with observation decks and rest areas along the way. You can get up close to the stunning scenery and capture some amazing shots of the natural landscape.

  • The cherry blossoms and Shiroishi Castle complement each other beautifully. It's a great spot to enjoy the full bloom of cherry blossoms in spring.

  • You can see all of Showa Shinzan in about 10 minutes. There's a ropeway station nearby that takes you up to Mt. Usu, and you can also see Lake Toya from there.

  • There are fireworks every night in the summer, and they're absolutely stunning! The fireworks are launched from boats on the lake, so if you're staying at a lakeside hotel, you can watch them right from your room.

  • The campus environment is fantastic, especially with the autumn leaves and ginkgo trees. Students here are really lucky.

  • Fushimi Inari Taisha is always bustling with worshippers. Thousands of torii gates, each donated by individuals or companies with their names and dates, stretch from the base of the mountain all the way to the top.

  • You can see the giant Kannon statue right from the hotel room window. It really feels like it's watching over the people living in the area.

  • These ancient samurai buildings have created a unique Japanese architectural culture. Wandering through these charming, old-fashioned streets, you can really feel the splendor of the past.
