  • This shrine is known as a guardian for safe childbirth and raising children. Many expectant mothers and new parents come here to pray for a smooth delivery and healthy growth for their kids.

  • The cherry blossom trees stretch from the station all the way along both sides of the Kawazu River. Every year, they hold a lively cherry blossom festival here.

  • I caught the autumn leaves season just in time. As you move from the first to the second ropeway, the scenery along the way is stunning—it's like a moving observation deck.

  • The monkeys soaking in the hot springs are so cute and funny! I really wish I could join them in the bath.

  • Wide green meadows, Mt. Iwate covered in snow in the distance, and cherry blossoms as a backdrop—it's beautiful. There are all kinds of activities to try at the farm. Highly recommended spot.

  • This is where they filmed The Last Samurai with Tom Cruise. Visiting after seeing the movie made it feel extra special. It's another famous sightseeing spot in Himeji, besides Himeji Castle.
