The farm covers a vast area at the foot of Mt. Iwate, spanning Shizukuishi-cho and Takizawa city, and is involved in a variety of businesses, including dairy farming, forestry, food, and tourism.
The 3,000-hectare property is home to approximately 2,200 cows, producing flavorful, high-quality raw milk, which is used to make and sell many of the company's own brand products, including butter, cheese, and yogurt.

The tourist area is the "Makiba-en," a 40-hectare area in the center of the farm.
Visitors can enjoy farm experiences, activities, and gourmet food in a lush natural setting with a direct view of Mount Iwate.
A popular activity is the "Farm Tractor Ride," where visitors can feel the wind in the air as they tour the forest, pastures, and the 100-year-old cedar forest road, Makiba-en's No. 1 scenic spot.

Other activities include horseback riding, pony and rabbit feeding, and forest crafts for children. For adults, the "Cattle Shed History Tour with Guide and Shuttle" guided tour of the Kamimaru Cattle Shed, designated as a National Important Cultural Property, is popular.

Gourmet foods such as Jingisukan / Genghis Khan (meat and vegetable barbecue) using beef from the farm, specialty soft-serve ice cream made from fresh milk, and pizza with plenty of cheese from the farm are pretty good.
