  • The flavor is pretty authentic. The noodles and sauce are both really tasty, and the portions are generous. Hot Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki with a beer is the perfect combo. The vibe is friendly and laid-back. If you want affordable and authentic Hiroshima okonomiyaki, I definitely recommend this place.

  • Sakaemachi Gintengai has a nostalgic Showa vibe. It's not super lively, but there are some unique little shops hidden around. Perfect for a slow stroll, taking photos, and treasure hunting. You really get to feel the local, old-town atmosphere of Mojiko.

  • These raisin butter sandwich cookies are amazing! The cookies are crisp, the butter is rich but not heavy, and the slightly sweet raisins are a perfect match. Once you start eating, you can't stop!

  • This aquarium is small and cute, and you can get super close to the seals—so relaxing! Even though it's not big, the atmosphere is warm and it has a lot of local character. If you love marine life, you have to check it out!

Shinjuku Takashimaya has a classy atmosphere and the floors are well organized, making shopping here really comfortable. I had a steak and shrimp platter at one of the restaurants—the garlic rice was super flavorful, and the sides were great too. It was such a treat to enjoy a meal like this after shopping. I’d definitely come back!

  • It's less than a minute from the station, which is super convenient for backpackers or day-trippers! The facilities are clean and modern, and there are lots of different types of baths—carbonated springs, open-air baths, stone saunas, and even a silky bath that makes your skin feel smooth. My favorite is the open-air bath, where you can soak while enjoying the natural air of Chichibu. It's incredibly relaxing~

  • The water in the Niyodo River is so clear—it's like a dream with that amazing blue color! Whether you're canoeing, playing in the water, or just taking in the scenery, it's super relaxing. Highly recommend coming here to unwind!
