When all the lanterns are lit up at night, the whole street turns into a golden sea of rice stalks. It's truly spectacular and really symbolizes Akita's agricultural culture.

The water is super clean and clear. Through the glass bottom of the boat, you can see trout and other underwater creatures. It's a totally different way to enjoy a boat ride on the lake.

Lake Yamanakako is also called Swan Lake, so riding the swan boat here just feels perfect.

The hiking trail isn't well maintained, so it's pretty tough to walk. The signs aren't clear either, so you'll need a bit of an adventurous spirit to come here.
