This is one of Japan's three most famous gardens, and it's always been known for its many plum trees. If you're visiting Mito, you really shouldn't miss this spot.

There are displays introducing the local ecosystem, plants, and animals. It’s nice and cool inside with the AC, and the big windows look out over the grasslands and the ocean.
A great place to pop in when you’re tired—rest a bit, refill your water, and take some photos. The overall vibe is super relaxing! -
I recommend the restaurant upstairs—the city view while you eat is really relaxing.

The appearance of Kinkaku-ji is breathtaking. The gold-leaf-covered building sparkles in the sunlight, and its reflection on the Mirror Pond looks like something out of a fairy tale.
