3 Highlights of GUNDAM PARK Fukuoka, the Hub for Gundam Information
Located on the 4th floor of Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport Fukuoka, GUNDAM PARK Fukuoka is made up of three areas:
GUNDAM SIDE-F, where you can purchase Gundam merchandise; VS PARK WITH G, where you can enjoy Gundam-themed activities; and namco, an amusement facility decorated in the Gundam universe style.
Since its debut in 1979, the anime Mobile Suit Gundam has enjoyed long-standing support from dedicated fans and continues to be hugely popular both in Japan and overseas.
Many visitors come specifically for GUNDAM PARK Fukuoka, and it is becoming a new mecca for fans.
1. See THE LIFE-SIZED ν GUNDAM STATUE
Greeting visitors at the facility entrance is THE LIFE-SIZED ν GUNDAM STATUE.
Standing 24.8 meters tall, the impressive statue is modeled after the RX-93ff νGundam, the mobile suit featured in the movie Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack.
The statue is equipped with a new part, the Long Range Fin Funnel, on its back.
Supervised by Mobile Suit Gundam series director Yoshiyuki Tomino, the new part features a red, blue, and yellow color scheme.
Another highlight is the special video presentations shown during the day and night.
In the daytime program, the Gundam statue’s face and hands move.
At night, you can enjoy four types of video projections displayed on the exterior of Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport Fukuoka.

2. GUNDAM PARK Fukuoka: GUNDAM SIDE-F
GUNDAM SIDE-F is designed to resemble a space colony from the Gundam series.
At the entrance, a 1/12-scale statue welcomes you. This model was created based on the design data from the RG (Real Grade) GUNPLA series, which pursues “realism” and is so impressive that it can excite even those unfamiliar with Gundam.
Inside, there are areas where you can assemble and paint Gundam plastic models purchased in-store, spaces selling a wide range of Gundam goods including exclusive GUNPLA, and large monitors that immerse you in a space environment.

Must-have items include a plastic model of THE LIFE-SIZED ν GUNDAM STATUE at LaLaport Fukuoka—RG 1/144 RX-93ff νGundam—as well as the red-colored mobile suit RG 1/144 MSN-04FF SAZABI, featured in the statue’s special video presentation. Also popular is the ENTRY GRADE 1/144 RX-93ff νGundam, which uses “Touch Gate” technology allowing parts to be removed from the runner by hand without nippers—great for beginners.
Additionally, GUNDAM Birthday Keychains with all 366 dates are available, making it a must-have memento of your visit to Fukuoka.

3. GUNDAM PARK Fukuoka: VS PARK WITH G
Among the nine VS PARK locations nationwide, the LaLaport Fukuoka branch is the only one where you can enjoy Gundam-themed activities.
The facility offers over 28 types of physically engaging activities.

Recommended Gundam collaboration attractions include Yokekiru WITH G, where you dodge charging animals or Dom mobile suits by moving your body left and right, and Nigekiru WITH G, where you escape from wild beasts that chase you the moment the game begins.
Both activities feature giant screens to create a thrilling sense of the beasts coming right at you, making you want to try them again as soon as you finish.
Although not Gundam-themed, Jump×Jump, where you jump to avoid rotating obstacles, is also popular, providing a quick but satisfying workout.

1. Kyushu’s Largest Food Zone: GRAND DINING
GRAND DINING combines a food court and a restaurant area, with about 30 establishments in total. Several well-known Fukuoka eateries also have branches here.

2. Tonkatsu Chisei: Created by a Famous Fukuoka Restaurant
One of GRAND DINING’s signature restaurants is Tonkatsu Chisei.
It is a sister store of the tonkatsu restaurant “Hakozaki Inokawazu” in Fukuoka City, opened with increased seating and expanded floor space to accommodate families.

Popular dishes include the Premium Loin Cutlet and Jumbo Fried Shrimp Set and the Premium Loin Cutlet and Premium Fillet Cutlet Set.

Another appeal of Tonkatsu Chisei is the variety and originality of condiments that allow you to change the flavor.
There are four condiments: original whole-grain mustard with a pleasantly popping texture, lemon salt made by squeezing lemon and dipping in seaweed salt, special tonkatsu sauce mixed with ground sesame in a mortar, and wasabi soy sauce made with fresh wasabi and sweet soy sauce from Fukuoka.
Instructions for these “delicious ways to eat” are provided in multiple languages, accessible via QR code.

Menu tablets can be set to display in multiple languages.

Food Marche consists of around 20 stores, including MARKET 351, which prepares and serves dishes made from fresh local products sold in-store.
