Yawataya Isogoro has its main store in Daimoncho, the home of Zenkoji Temple, an ancient temple in Nagano City, Nagano Prefecture. The store's signature product, "Shichimi togarashi," is a combination of Banshou (chili pepper), Byakkyo (ginger), Shiso (perilla), Sansho (Japanese pepper), Chimpi (dried orange peel), Goma (sesame), and Otane (hemp). Using these seven ingredients and seasoning them in a unique way that has not changed since ancient times, Shichimi Togarashi is a popular product that has been loved for many years and has fans all over Japan.
There are various types of product, from the familiar 14g cans to bottles and sachets. It is available at Yawataya Isogoro stores, including the main store in Nagano City where the company was founded, as well as at department stores and select stores nationwide.
