Based in Karuizawa, Kitasaku District, Nagano Prefecture, YOHO-Brewing was founded by Yoshiharu Hoshino, president of Hoshino Resorts, as a craft beer brewery.
Karuizawa Kogen Beer debuted in 1997 as YOHO-Brewing’s very first beer and has since been loved as “the most widely enjoyed local beer in Karuizawa.”
To capture the refreshing climate of Karuizawa, European hops are used along with some locally grown wheat, Yumekaori. The flavor—crafted in pursuit of Karuizawa’s unique character—features a refined aroma reminiscent of herbs and flowers, the gentle taste of malt, and a clean bitterness. The bitterness does not linger, making it smooth and easy to drink, pairing well with meals and suitable for any season or occasion.
