Appi Kogen Ski Resort

Located at an elevation of 800 to 900 meters above sea level, the nature-rich Appi Plateau boasts a vast area of approximately 2,000 hectares. The ski resort has the atmosphere of a European highland resort, with white birch forests, grasslands, and virgin beech forests, and fashionable pensions and hotels.

The 21 courses, mainly long courses, are located on the 1,305-meter-high Maemori Mountain and the 1,328-meter-high Nishimori Mountain. The resort has a reputation for the quality of its snow, and there are also non-pressure courses where visitors can enjoy powder snow. Night skiing facilities are also available to satisfy everyone from beginners to advanced skiers.

Around the ski resort, you can enjoy eating soft-serve ice cream made from freshly squeezed milk and interacting with animals at the "Appi Kogen Ranch" and the "Appi Onsen Shirakaba no Yu" known as "Bijin no Yu" (hot spring for beautiful women).

Skiing is available until Golden Week. Even in spring and summer, when the ski season is over, visitors can enjoy tennis, golf, and trekking throughout the year.
