Last update :

Lala Matsumoto is a popular multi-sport facility boasting one of the largest indoor pools in the prefecture. It utilizes the heat and electrical energy generated by the adjacent Matsumoto Clean Center incineration facility, which is used to heat the pool and bathing facilities.

The indoor pool maintains a comfortable temperature of around 30°C throughout the year. The "Wave Pool," which brings to mind the Mediterranean Sea, produces gentle waves and even a "Big Wave Time" for a genuine beach-like experience. Other features include a "Lazy River" with a course of about 180m, filled with exciting elements like cave-like areas, a children's pool, a 25m pool, and two types of slides. It's the perfect place to enjoy water play in Nagano Prefecture, which lacks a seaside.

The bathing facility, ideal for relaxation and recovery after exercise or a busy day, includes a large public bath and sauna rooms for both men and women, and an observation bath with a view of the Northern Alps. The indoor facilities also include a tennis court and training gym, serving a wide range of purposes from leisure to intense training.
