Blue Wing Moji
A pedestrian-only bascule bridge overlooking the Kanmon Straits.
Spanning approximately 108 meters, it is one of the largest pedestrian bascule bridges in Japan. The bridge crosses the First Boat Basin of Mojiko Port and opens and closes six times a day to allow ships to pass. Watching the bridge rise dramatically to a 60-degree angle above the water is a sight not to be missed.
Set in a prime location with sweeping views of the Kanmon Straits and the Kanmon Bridge, the area is surrounded by popular attractions such as Mojiko Retro. In the evening, the bridge is illuminated from below, making it a lovely spot for a nighttime stroll while enjoying the waterfront scenery.
