La Vista Kusatsu Hills

Opened in 2021 on a hillside overlooking Kusatsu Onsen, La Vista Kusatsu Hills is a European-style resort hotel that offers stunning views befitting its name, "La Vista." This elegant hotel is the first in Kusatsu to feature a top-floor bathhouse with panoramic views.

The hotel's hot springs draw from three sources: Yubatake, Bandai-Ko, and Yukawa. Guests can enjoy these waters in the top-floor bathhouse, which includes open-air baths, indoor baths, and barrel baths. Additionally, there are four types of private open-air baths, each with a unique design—rock, ceramic, and more—offering views of Kusatsu's mountains and hot spring town. After a relaxing soak, guests can enjoy complimentary beer and ice cream in the lounge.

The guest rooms are inspired by Grimm's fairy tales, with three themed designs: "Red Riding Hood" (red), "Hansel and Gretel" (green), and "Snow White" (white). Each room features a private hinoki (cypress) open-air bath, allowing guests to enjoy natural hot spring water at their leisure. For dinner, the hotel's restaurant offers course meals made with seasonal local ingredients and carefully selected produce, served in a setting with beautiful stained glass counters or tables overlooking a pond. The hotel also boasts a scenic lounge and an esthetic salon, providing a full resort experience.
