IZU OCEAN PARK
Enjoy a tropical resort atmosphere with delicious barbecue and a seawater pool overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
Located just two and a half hours from central Tokyo by train, this well-equipped spot lets visitors enjoy leisure diving in the Izu sea, known for its uniquely varied underwater terrain and abundant marine life.
While the facility is primarily designed for divers, the Izu Ocean Barbecue area-open from mid-March to late September-is also available to general visitors. Guests can enjoy a barbecue on a grassy site overlooking the Pacific Ocean and soak up a tropical resort atmosphere. With the convenient “no-prep” plan, which includes meats, vegetables, and all necessary equipment, you can arrive empty-handed and enjoy a hassle-free experience. Among the roughly 20 sites, there’s even a luxurious VIP area complete with a bath for a private, upscale retreat.
From mid-July to late August during the summer holidays, the natural seawater Iso Pool opens. This shallow pool built beside the ocean is known for offering a safe way to enjoy a seawater swimming experience. Kids especially love the slide, and part of a 50-meter pool is available as well. In summer, the combination plan that includes both the BBQ and the Iso Pool is highly recommended.
