A history and folklore museum in Fujiyoshida City, right at the foot of Mt. Fuji. It showcases all things related to Mt. Fuji through large-scale models, projection mapping, touch-panel videos, and more. You can casually and enjoyably learn about the history of Mt. Fuji and Fujiyoshida City from many angles.

In the “Fujisan VR Theater,” newly launched in 2023, you can experience breathtaking views of Mt. Fuji through powerful visuals projected onto 360-degree wall screens and even the floor. It also recreates the wind and the scent of plants you feel while climbing, letting you enjoy an immersive sensation like you’re really hiking Mt. Fuji.

You’ll also find plenty of creative exhibits, including displays on the origins and evolution of Mt. Fuji worship and projection mapping cast onto a large 1:2,000-scale 3D model of Mt. Fuji. The museum shop sells Mt. Fuji goods you can only buy here. The museum rooftop is also a viewpoint with panoramic views of Mt. Fuji.
