Located in Odawara City, Kanagawa Prefecture, this popular restaurant specializes in Odawara Oden, a relatively new local specialty that was created in 2003 as part of a regional revitalization effort. Inspired by traditional oden but with a local twist, the dish brings together original ingredients developed by long-established local businesses—including tofu makers, konnyaku shops, greengrocers, butchers, and especially historic kamaboko (fish cake) makers dating back to the Edo period.
A distinctive feature of Odawara Oden is the variety of condiments served with it—not only mustard and wasabi, but also a unique plum miso made from locally grown ume.

The restaurant offers over 45 types of oden ingredients, including items that have won local contests. If you’re not sure what to choose, try the popular “Chef’s Choice 5-Item Assortment.” The broth, made with generous amounts of kombu and bonito flakes, is light yet rich in flavor. Don’t miss their signature items like gyusuji (beef tendon) and Fuku shumai, a special dumpling unique to the region.

The interior features a counter made from solid slabs of keyaki wood, as well as stylish dining spaces like the glass-walled Stellar Room and a Garden Room with views of a tranquil courtyard.

Note: There are very few staff members available who can assist in languages other than Japanese.
