Opened in March 2025, this brand-new facility is dedicated to the beloved gag manga Kochira Katsushika-ku Kameari Koen-mae Hashutsujo (KochiKame), which ran in Weekly Shonen Jump for 40 years without a single break.

The museum is built around a playful concept: what if the series’ legendary main character, the unconventional police officer Kankichi Ryotsu (a.k.a. Ryo-san), decided to construct his own memorial museum right above the police box he works at? The result is a fun, immersive space that celebrates not only the world of KochiKame, but also the real-life charm of Tokyo’s Kameari neighborhood—the setting of the manga.

From the recreated police box at the 1st-floor entrance, visitors take an elevator to the 5th floor where they’re welcomed by “The Return of Ryo-san Daimeijin,” a playful shrine-like exhibit complete with character-themed omikuji (fortune slips), a favorite photo spot.
The 4th floor keeps a gallery of original manga artwork, while the 3rd floor houses the “Famous Scenes Experience BOX,” where fans can step into key moments from the series. On the 2nd floor you’ll find interactive displays with playful tricks and surprises. Don’t miss the 1st-floor community space, which highlights the local culture and attractions of Kameari.
