Tomari Beach
A hidden beach with calm waves, ideal for families.
Tomari Beach is a local hidden gem in Ine Town, located in the northeastern part of the Tango Peninsula in Kyoto Prefecture. The cove-like landscape keeps the waves calm, and the shallow shore creates a safe setting for families with small children. The swimming season typically runs from mid-July to mid-August, and safety staff are on duty from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
There is a paid parking lot for Approx. 30 cars right next to the beach. Restrooms, changing rooms, and showers are also available for a comfortable visit. Surfing and SUP are allowed outside the designated swimming area. However, barbecues, fireworks, open flames, and camping are prohibited. Nearby attractions include Okuine Onsen and the Ine Funaya boat houses, so staying overnight along with a beach visit is also recommended.
