Amanohashidate is one of Japan’s Top 3 Scenic Spots, along with the bay of Matsushima in Miyagi Prefecture and Miyajima in Aki, Hiroshima Prefecture. Across the length of this 3.6km landbridge you’ll find 5000 pine trees planted across its 20m-170m wide shores. It’s magical look and feel carved out by nature over many millennia has earned it a spot on many of Japan’s best 100-lists, including 100 Best Famous Pine Trees, 100 Best Green Pines and White Sands, 100 Best Shorelines and 100 Best Beautiful Biospheres in Japan.
Stretching the waters from Miyazu Bay to the Aso Sea, this spot has long been said to resemble a dragon climbing up the heavens. Nearby you will find 3 different lookout points to enjoy the remarkable site from above. From the Kasamatsu Park to the north, the landbridge looks like a dragon climbing upwards, giving it the nickname Shoryukan.
At Matanozokidai you’ll find a special deck where you can see the sky and sea as if they’re upsidedown. At Amanohashidate Viewland you’ll find the Hiryukan deck, which looks as if a dragon is dancing into the heavens. There’s also a remarkable view from the Amanohashidate Sesshu Observation Deck and Rest Spot.
Across Amanohashidate you’ll find a number of historic spots that are worth a stroll, including the Monument for Emperor Showa, the Monument for Tekkan Yosano and wife Akiko Kahi, Amanohashinodate Shrine and more. From a swimming area to rent-a-cycle and cruise boats with unforgettable views of the sea, there are countless was to enjoy this scenic spot.
One especially rare sight is the rotation bridge, which spins 90 degrees for passing boats while connecting Amanohashidate to the main land. Don’t forget to check out the many souvenir shops along the way from Amanohashidate Station.
The Hikari no Atelier illumination event is available every year from July to November, creating a beautiful display of art and light. Don’t forget to check the night cruise and fireworks event.

☆傘松公園：
車站：府中站，搭乘纜車（4分鐘）可到「傘松公園」眺望一沙洲
不僅要搭纜車上去傘松公園、眺望天橋，也一定要安排「松林步道～散策」
☆胯下倒看風景：
一千多年來，當地人為了能欣賞到最美的海灣景色，彎下腰，從兩腿之間倒著看風景，這姿勢有一個名稱為｢股覗」。
來到此地，入境隨俗，跟隨當地的傳統吧。
☆小天橋（迴旋橋）
這個迴旋橋（朱紅色），會旋轉90度，連結了天橋立公園，每當有船隻要通過水道，橋體旋到90度後，船隻就陸續通過，待船隻之後橋樑又會旋轉到原位，行人就可以通行，旋轉過程大約5分鐘，非常有趣的橋唷！很值得親自造訪觀看。
挑戰坐單人纜車到山上景觀台，大海美景盡收眼底。
可以騎腳踏車繞一圈，欣賞途中的風景是個不錯的選擇。
這裡不僅可以座纜車，還可以餵海鷗，又有趣又好玩。
搭乘纜車上去在觀景台上看，景色美到不行，真不愧是日本三景之一。
