Komayama Park
A soul-cleansing 360-degree panorama! A romantic destination spread across a hill at an elevation of Approx. 180m.
This vast park, developed on a hill at an elevation of Approx. 180m, is beloved as a relaxing spot for local residents.
From the two observation decks in the park, visitors can enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view. Mt. Fuji rises dramatically, and the grand expanse of Sagami Bay stretches out before you. On clear days, you can also see as far as Enoshima, the Miura Peninsula, the Boso Peninsula, and the Izu Peninsula, and the sparkling night view is just as beautiful as the daytime scenery.
The park’s rich natural environment is another attraction, and listening to birdsong while discovering seasonal flowers throughout the year is part of the fun. In particular, the cherry blossoms usually bloom and reach their best from around late March to early April. After the cherry blossoms fall, be sure to enjoy the vibrant azaleas in bloom.
Another highlight is the many photo spots scattered throughout the park. Above all, this place is known as the birthplace of “love padlocks,” and the sight of thousands of padlocks attached by couples pledging their love is sure to surprise anyone.
